History of Rock-n-Roll Estate Sale

You are invited to a once in a lifetime opportunity to obtain Rock and Roll history and view the making and unraveling of a Northern California radio station and it’s belongings. The owner, operator and creator of Mount Shasta’s KWSD as well as KEDY, Dave Reese Sr., has passed on and his heirs have opted to empty the radio station vaults and family home of all their treasures.

Expect literally thousands of LPs, 45s, and 78s from the rock and roll genre to early jazz, folk, blues, and country. This collection has got to be one of the most eclectic in estate sale history and will be well worth the mountain trek to claim a part of rock history for your very own. Expect many to be promo and radio packaging, some rough from use, others in mint condition. One thing is for certain: You would be hard-pressed to find another authentic radio station collection of this quantity available for sale anywhere in America today.

Besides the sheer bulk of the sale containing early ham and amateur radios and parts, there is also a complete room full of books and magazines and radio literature, a garage full of cabinetry making tools both hand and power to professional wood working pieces larger than a medium sized adult. There are too many things to list but I shall try to run off a few for those of you not able to make a drive without a bit of bait before you.

We’ll sell walls full of framed Kinkade's, oil paintings, prints, lithographs, watercolors and three-dimensional modern art. There will be gold and silver as well as costume jewelry, cuff links and men’s watches, modern pottery, glass, bar items, a blue and white collection, bottles, cups and saucers, too much Christmas, photo equipment, bamboo and rattan.

We’ll sell old books by the shelf full, hand-made furniture, machinery and tools, radios, typewriters, an entire engineer or draftsmen’s’ tool chest full of goodies, clothes, colored glass, Asian folding screen, needlepoint bench, maple, 1940s Schwinn bike, vanity, Imari, bells, early phonograph, radio wall maps, microphones, speakers, nurse and radio textbooks from long ago, tubes, wrought iron, lady cushions, brass, open display shelf, Pendleton blanket, dresser set, vintage photos, and so much more.

This mountain home is packed full of fun and frolic and the atmosphere is one of happiness and a life well lived. Anyone who takes the time to wonder up to this small mountain town (my hometown and one I take much pride in coming from) will be glad they did! As usual we will offer ample refreshments and shaded seating for those who wish to come and wait early.

The estate sale will take place Friday the 9th of May from 7am until 6pm in the evening and the sale will continue on Saturday and Sunday from 7-6 p.m. daily with Sunday being half price on all remaining items. Be sure to try and make this sale if for nothing other than to take the day off and enjoy the drive through this small, Northern California version of Yosemite Valley.
